I’m going to try this thing where I add weekly updates here on the blog. We shall see how long this lasts. I’ve said I would blog before, and life has gotten the best of me. It will definitely have to be something I force myself to make time for. I do think it will be a little therapeutic to get my thoughts and feelings out. I may just brain dump and ramble here. I don’t know. It will be interesting.
I should be finished by now. Worst case, I should be editing. I’m not. I’m still writing.
I struggled for a few weeks debating how I wanted to tell their story. I wouldn’t call this book a second chance because Eli and Frankie were never together, but it is a second chance at their friendship. Because of this and the fact that I want to show you how they met and became friends, I’m writing the story with a dual timeline.
Is now a bad time to tell you that I loathe reading dual timelines?
Yeah, well, hopefully I can write it.
I’m actually having fun tying the past and present together and creating little segues that will bring us back to a memory in the past. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
The goal is to finish the draft by the end of MAY. Actually, it isn’t the goal. IT HAS to be done by May. I wanted to be finished by the end of March. I’m already two months behind. If I’m being real, I wanted to be done by the end of last year. Anyway, here we are. It’s fine. Everything is fine.

WEEK 17 GOAL: 36,000
Am I crazy for writing these two books at the same time? Probably. I also know that their timelines overlap like crazy. I also don’t want to get further behind than I already am. My original goal for this book was the end of June. It’s okay. You can laugh with me.
As of right now, all I have is a brief outline. Let me tell you, this one is going to be so good.

I can’t wait to really dig into the draft. Maybe next week I can share a quote or two.
